Vineyard management can only be sustainable using posts made in steel. Why?

Although there has been a tendency to preserve wooden posts in specific areas with landscape constraints, today these posts cannot be treated with impregnating substances and, consequently, their duration over time is very limited.
In addition, wooden posts, as well as concrete posts, are not suitable for mechanical processing: they are easily damaged and release residues into the crop.
Not to mention the problem of disposing of wooden and concrete posts, which has a negative impact both in terms of the environment, and of costs.
